Hospitality & Remembrance

Come in and feel at home.

se·lah — a pause to rest, reflect and remember.

Selah is run by the Gimenez family: Navy veteran Stephen and his wife D'Ann, together with their daughter Aubrey and son-in-law Travis Tamayo. Aubrey felt called to open a coffee shop. When she drove past this 1925 craftsman bungalow on North Main, she knew it was the spot. The family signed the lease the next day.

The name comes from the Psalms, where selah marks a pause to stop and remember. Our logo carries Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God.” We hope every visit is a small selah: a warm welcome, a cup made with care, and a moment to remember what matters.

We opened in March 2026 hoping to give Boerne a living room. Since then you've brought your families, met friends, had first dates and worked from our tables. Five months in, our community voted Selah the Best Coffee House in Boerne. We're still so grateful.

“Our goal is for people to come here and feel like they're home.”— Stephen Gimenez

The Market

Take a little Selah home.

Browse our small market and bookstore nook between sips. You'll find artisan goods, take-home treats, Selah totes and aprons, and gifts for the people you love.

Out back there's a playscape for the little ones and picnic tables under the oaks. Up front, the porch is the best seat on North Main.

A note for you

Hi Stephen & D'Ann!

I came by Selah Café in person and put together this website design for you. I wanted to show you what I can do before any commitment is made.

This is a draft and will stay up for 48 hours. I'm happy to take it down sooner once you've seen it, or keep it going if you'd like to move forward.

For more info, you can reach me at emilioornelas.com or (956) 520-1574. I'm a local, so I'm always happy to stop by if you have any questions.

Thanks!
